Touch For Health Kinesiology tests each muscle individually (42 muscles) and determine whether or not that muscle is working at its maximum efficiency.

The test is done by placing the muscle in a position which isolates it as much as possible from the surrounding muscles. So that its strength can be monitored and evaluated to be either efficient or inefficient. If a muscle is found to be inefficient it is then corrected at that time (e.g. you may be able to lift a weight with an inefficient muscle but it could be done much easier). One advantage of touch for health kinesiology is that since our body has two sides we can compare one side to the other.

How the muscle is strengthened

The correction in most cases is done by either  rubbing points on the body which activate the lymphatic flow (the body’s detox system) or holding points on the head to increase the blood flow ( allowing more nutrients to the inefficient muscle ). Occasionally other techniques are needed such as resetting the spindle cells or the Golgi tendon apparatus in the muscles etc, however this is rare.

Touch For Health Kinesiology is the one I use first for any physical problems, such as lower back pain, due to the instant feedback we receive when doing the corrections. Even though correcting one muscle at a time takes longer, I know that each muscle in the problem area is now working efficiently. This takes the extra workload off the other muscles in the problem area. Resulting in a reduction of pain. Should the muscle not strengthen I know straight away that I need to change to a different therapy such as Bowen therapy or use a trigger point technique.
