Daves muscle therapy is all about strengthening muscles by resetting the muscles defense system which has turned the muscle ¨off¨. The two main mechanisms which turn the muscle off are the spindle cells in the center of the muscle and golgi tendon apparatus which are in the tendons, when either of these mechanisms tell the brain that the muscle is in a state of stress the brain then turns the muscle ¨off¨.

There are three main causes for this

1- Muscle can simply not cope with the load you are giving them.

2- An emotion caused the muscle to be weakened and then it could not cope with a load it normally would.

3- The environment caused the muscle to be weakened and then it could not cope with a load it normally would eg. food allergy, toxin, lack of vitamins, minerals etc.

To reset the muscle back to an ¨on¨ state, I mainly use Touch For Health Kinesiology because most of its techniques directly turn each muscle ¨on¨ and most importantly you can reset the muscles at home quickly and easily. The most common resetting techniques I use is to increase the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids to and from the muscle ( the body’s detox system ) by either rubbing specific points on the body or to hold points on the head.

Should one of the many Touch For Health Kinesiology techniques not work, I sometimes have to use other therapies for their unique abilities. For example if the fascial tissue surrounding the muscle is so tight that it is restricting the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids to it, then Bowen therapies ability to release the tight fascial tissue surrounding the muscle may need to be performed before Touch For Health Kinesiology can increase the flow of blood and lymphatic fluids to and from the muscle.

When all of the muscles are turned back ¨on¨ and working correctly you have 4 possible benefits

1. Frees up any trapped nerves causing pain

2. Removes the stress off the other muscles, which were trying to do the job of the muscle which was turned ¨off¨

3. Takes stress off joints and bones

4. Allows your posture to go back to it’s correct position Any improvement to the above usually results in fast relief from pain and discomfort.

Now that all of your muscles are working correctly I teach you which muscles need to be strengthened or stretched to reduce your chances of having a recurrence of your problem. This is usually in the Second or Third session.
